HELICOPTER CRASH UTAH (Willis

On Jan. 10, 2003, the Life Flight Agusta 109 K2
helicopter crashed in heavy fog, killing pilot Craig Bingham and paramedic
Mario Guerrero. Flight nurse Stein Rosqvist suffered severe injuries. The
three, flying as Life Flight 6, had lifted off from LDS Hospital in Salt Lake
City to pick up a critically injured victim of a truck rollover on Interstate
80 near the Nevada state line. When Life Flight 6 reached the airport, the
pilot asked the tower for permission to cross the flight path "to see if
it clears up any better for us."
